Regan started his career in construction in Canada, before joining a UK equipment supply company. At Hygenius, he is Business Development Manager – responsible for specification and design support for healthcare projects. “I enjoy conversations with industry leaders. There is always more to learn about the healthcare sector and about specialist design requirements in sectors such as mental health. I am a fan of rollerblading outside in the summer months, great way to relax and hiking with family and friends.”
Gentle Scrimgeour
Lead Project Consultant
Gentle was a Customer Service Advisor in oil and gas before joining Hygenius 6 years ago. As Lead Project Consultant, she is responsible for the major project pipeline, working across both sales teams, offering support to them and their customers. “It’s the people at Hygenius that make the company. We are well supported and encouraged to own our roles.” In her spare time Gentle likes to spend time with family and friends, but mostly with her two Ragdoll cats. She is also a keen collector of Scottish gin.

Prior to joining Hygenius, Mike worked as a traditional joiner before moving into estimating and sales. At Hygenius, he works in business development, liaising directly with architects and clients to support current and future projects. “I like the open nature of the business where the vision and strategy are clear. The passion for improvement is infectious.” In his spare time, Mike loves to take on DIY projects when not exploring the Glens in his classic car.

Estimator
Before joining Hygenius, Darren trained as a joiner in Northern Ireland, then worked as a bench joiner in Kirkcaldy. He is an estimator in the Hygenius pre-construction team, responsible for accurately predicting the labour, equipment and materials costs of a project at tender stage. “I enjoy the friendly atmosphere and strong work ethic at Hygenius. In my spare time, I play golf, listen to true crime podcasts and walk with my family.”
John Beech
Order Processing
John worked with a furniture manufacturer for 9 years prior to joining Hygenius. He has also worked as a CAD draughtsman in construction and then in engineering consulting. He processes quoted sales orders. “Hygenius feels like one big family – all striving to achieve the same goals. This is by far the best company I have ever worked for!” When not at work, John enjoys playing pool and kayaking.
Yvonne Rose
Senior Finance Assistant
Yvonne has an HND in Accounts and has had a variety of accounts and finance roles in different sectors. She is Senior Finance Assistant at Hygenius, which involves a variety of finance and accounts tasks, plus giving support to other members of the finance department. “What I like most about working for Hygenius are the people and the culture. Outside of work I like to spend time at home or on holiday with friends and family, especially my grandchildren.”

Atanaska came over to Scotland from Bulgaria in the summer of 2004 and since then has been unable to leave! “I have completed HNC, HND Accounting studies and few courses for Supervisory and Management Training. Working as Finance Assistant at Hygenius is fantastically varied, often involving interaction with other departments. Every day is a learning day and what I enjoy most is the people I work with. I spend my free time with my family and friends and enjoy cooking, traveling, researching and learning new things.”
Siobhan Duncan
Procurement Co-ordinator
With an Honours degree in Pharmacology and a Masters in Human Identification, Siobhan worked for a road maintenance and construction company for 14 years before joining Hygenius. “I am responsible for ordering in the board, edging, materials and hardware we need to manufacture the furniture. It’s great to feel like a valued member of the team, and I particularly like communicating with all areas of the business, helping out where I can. Outside work, I love the fresh air, exercise and keeping fit and can usually be found on my road bike!”
Rolf Beech
Project Manger
Based in Manchester, Rolf has 18 years’ experience working with site, design and delivery teams across the northwest. “Project management is my role and it involves delivering the projects and being the point of call for all stakeholders once the project is handed over from pre-construction. I like the variety of projects and challenges and working with a winning team at Hygenius. When not at work, I enjoy time with my boys. I like to be outdoors, walking, swimming or anything football or cricket related!”
